Executive Coaching
“The unfortunate thing about this world is that good habits are so much easier to give up than bad ones.”
W. Somerset Maugham
Definition
Executive Coaching is professional coaching with a focus on developing leadership skills-the skills needed to drive change, manage complexity, build top performing teams, and maintain a strong personal foundation to thrive under the most challenging conditions.
How do we get there? Below is a sample process of coaching engagement and journey of discovery.
Identify
Establish desired outcomes and state measurable results.
As an executive, you have very specific measurements and accountabilities that define your position. The focus in executive coaching is evaluating the process you use to accomplish those targets. We identify the effectiveness of your communication, relationships, and influence you have with your team. The outcomes and measurable results will be more heavily impacted by your behavior and habits.
Define
Your Core Values: what makes you the complete you.
Your behavior and habits are directly motivated from your Core Values. We will go through a discovery process to clarify your internal drivers. Understanding your Core Values will provide insight on where you are highly effective and where you might find potential limitations.
Discover
Find what you might not know about your leadership.
Do you really know how your team perceives you? We provide confidential interviews with your key employees to gain insight and feedback from their point of view. We identify specific behaviors that could be keeping you from reaching that next level of success. Most of the time, we are unaware of the impacts our behavior and habits have on the people around us. This process shines light on what you are missing in regards to leading your team to a higher level.
Create
Plan to eliminate what’s holding you back and provide a new way forward.
Now that we have identified specific behaviors and habits that are holding you and your team back, we offer tools and techniques to shift this mindset. We put these practices to work in real time and deal with challenges you are facing on a day-to-day basis. As the quote above says, it’s more difficult to give up bad habits than good ones. This stage of the coaching is crucial as we support you through the journey of eliminating bad behaviors, building good habits, and most importantly, creating a practice of sustainability.
